Beer, revisited

Been there myself on a holiday. Didn’t realise until I arrived that there was a summer festival on that went on for days. The place was absolutely packed
It’s a really nice, well-preserved German city. Supposedly, the Allied forces spared it as it wasn’t thought to have any military functions. Meanwhile, Bosch was running munitions throughout the areas incl tunnels

@COYBL25 just drove past the Ellephant , was itching to jump in the beer garden....driving cars is a bloody nuisance :(
Had these delivered today so no problem

The ale is crap in there.

I don’t know what they do to it, but it’s just not right.

The White Horse over the road, is much much better.

We get a pint in the White Horse and take it over the road, to the beer garden lol

Tbh I stick to the Moretti or the Guinness there never had a bad one tbh , although me lad tries all sorts of concoctions.

White horse is good but way too small . But still a good old boozer.

Had a couple of draught San Miguel's in the Coffee House lady week , vert good tbh.

There's a whole range of them mate , the Germans are the best but the Belgians are very good too.
One of my faves for sure.
Them and amber ales are the smoothest for me.
I once had an amber ale draft and it was the most amazing thing I’ve ever tasted. It was like an angel weeping on my tongue.
All week I thought about it, and a week later, I returned to find that the pub had gone out of business. And I couldn’t remember the name of that ale.

It still haunts me to this day. 😡
