Off to Cork today, back Monday, I'll be drinking a serious amount of this stuff

I haven't been able to find anywhere.

Tonight's tipple, a craft stout, part of a mixed box from Best of British Beers. Tasty

Smashin brew this, given its maple and pecan designation I was somewhat expecting a pastry stout type affair, but not so.
The syrup and nuts comes through largely on the nose, but the taste is dry and not too sweet with a lot of red fruit and liquorice notes with some coffee.
Great stuff.

Neptunes beerhouse in Maghull. 12 on tap at all times and about 5 rotate every week. Great place

Head of Steam, Headingley has four Neptune Brewery beers on draught (draft for USA blues).
Currently on their Mosaic. Nice beer.

Hadn't heard of this before, a Scots Pine Ale, flavoured with line and spruce. A very pleasant taste even if slightly sweeter than I expected.

Autocorrect doing my head in, changing Pine to line without me noticing. Something else I hadn't noticed was the alcohol content @ 7.5%, probably explains the sweetness. Expect I will sleep ok tonight.

Felinfoel is probably my favourite brewery. When I was a student, back in the 1980's, Felinfoel Double Dragon was my favourite draught beer. I have had a couple of their bottled beers lately and they have not disappointed

Anyone remember Brew Ten sold in Bents Brewery pubs, if you had six or seven pints of them you were well on your way to be “ Out of your skull” they were from the seventies don’t think they lasted all that long!

I was in there recently and some decent live music. Also able to use my Camra card - can't be bad.
