and I he played rather well didn’t he? Where as davies and gomes have about 3 goals and 2 assists between them in over 150 games. Both are slow and offer nothing other than being able to play 3m sideways passes and comitt foils and give pens away . So I’d rather have holgate there tbh

No I agree but it doesn't matter what we want does it? You asked why he has not been playing centre mid, the reason will be because he isn't a midfielder.

He may not have a choice soon though.

Michael Keane has been our best defender for a good 18 months, it’s just not fashionable to say so.

One paced to death and not to be trusted high up the pitch, but in terms of out and out defensive abilities, he’s easily the best.

Doesn't have to be what we paid it just has to be money. We don't have many saleable assets that aren't the players we want to keep long term. We can't keep running at -£60m net spend every year.
