Mina or Keane
No chance it's Keane, Been easily one of our best players so far this season.

As much as I like Mina and I think he can be unplayable on his day, his inconsistency might mean he loses his place.
But then again, why would Carlo want to break up a CB pairing that have only conceded 1 goal in their past 4 league games?
As I said, a tough decision.

Strange thing is that he looked lost at RB and is right footed.

I wonder if thats due to him being new then or just a slight change in our setup?

Would be interesting if he was also able to play RB and DM as well.

With his athleticism and pace + reading of the game he definitely looks like he would make a great DM.

I expect it's more to him being new to the team/system at the time tbh.

The real conundrum happens when Digne is fit again.
Who loses their spot?
Think the Norwich fans at the time we signed him said hed been used as a dm and was impressive.
Midfield 3 of Godfrey, Allan and Doucourre would take no sh*t from anyone. Strong, athletic and a fearsome base for the front 3 to do their thing

Maybe being right footed is the problem at RB. Playing LB he wants to come inside onto his stronger foot and then he’s got the whole pitch to face.

When our full backs are fit - or we sign a couple - which id be in favor of. I think his performances bode well for a three at the back and he on the left side of the three. Perhaps Holgate on the right of the three. 3-4-3 or a variant.

Digne said to be back in about 4 weeks so never know.

Not always and we did it earlier in the season, i think the team is more settled and familiar with each other now.

Disagree, early on we had a back four of Coleman, Keane, Mina and Digne and we were going places now we have a settled back four of Holgate, Keane, Mina and Godfrey and we are gong places. So no, no to a back 3.

Robin
Holgate Keane Mina Digne
Ben
Doucs Allan
James DCL Richie

That would be my lineup when everybody is ready to go.

Pace, power, aggression, guile, goalpower (is this a word?).

Ideally we'd try and sell Keane while his stock seems high in Jan. See what this 'january premium' is all about...

Use Godfrey, Holgate, Mina and Branthwaite till season end.

Then offload Mina and sign a superstar centre back in summer.
Imagine thinking selling our most consistently performing centre back this season, while we're actually pushing for Champions League, is a good idea.

I'm no fan of his but to do that in the middle of this season would be rather odd

No Branthwaite too young and not sorted yet.
