If he continues at full back would Like to see him run with the ball more, use his power and pace, was a moment in the first half where he didn’t have a pass on so just decided to charge forward with the ball and he glided through about 4 of their players like it was nothing

That's fine but it's what happens after. All he can really do is hope someone is up with him to pass to since he can't cross. Unfortunately we hardly ever have runners.

Lay it off to his wide man or head to the byline, point was we’re way to slow getting the ball from defence to the attacking third, Godfreys at least capable of getting the ball up the pitch in seconds running with it instead of turning back and playing safe

Oh no, agree he's great at it, my point was just that whenever we play we have defence > midfield > 3,000 yard > Dom.

Godfrey is so fast when he does these runs the only other person up there is Dom in the middle waiting for a cross. Need Doucoure and Richy on it to counter attack properly.

Mom for me just over Keane and Mina
Love the lad but no way was he MOTM, Under gave him the spins when he came on and Maddison tortured him with balls in behind. He was poor in possession but difficult for a right footer at left back. His pace is a wonderful asset gets him out of some tight corners.

We have to find a place for him but Mina and Keane are playing so well.

I think he’d be more comfortable at right back, I think he would cross it more if he was on his favoured side, it’s just whether you take the chance as he’s done well on the left.

Totally understood why Ancelotti thought he'd give Godfrey a rest yesterday. He's played game after game after game so yesterday probably looked like the perfect opportunity to give him a break.

But what we lost is the standards he sets. He's the first to put a tackle in, the first to win a 50/50, the first to win a sprint to the ball. He sets the standard for others. He'd have been up for a scrap yesterday as he likes to get stuck in and isn't afraid of the dirty work required to get results.

I don't think Ancelotti will make the same mistake again and I don't think it will have gone unnoticed that we really missed this fellas attitude and commitment yesterday.
