Hadn’t a clue about Godfrey but he looks an absolute cracker. Makes me feel a lot less anxious when he’s on the pitch!

Same mate. I’m not going to pretend I remember watching a single minute of Norwich play football other than when they played us, but I’ve heard plenty of people championing Aarons and even a few shouts for Cantwell, but honestly hadn’t heard of Godfrey until he was linked with us.

Those other 2 must be special.

So does Coleman in fairness, and Holgate puts in a far better ball (not as good as shaping himself to get crosses off though)

Neither are the answer long term obviously, but Coleman would be my 3rd choice right back for the rest of the season

The vast majority of full backs will get skinned once a game against "good" wingers. It's a rare breed of full back that doesn't

Find it mad how all the football MENSA lads who frequent the transfer threads wanted us to go out and blow loads of dough on Aaron’s, but I don’t remember any of them suggesting Godfrey.

Fair point, but I'm going to be honest.. I was pretty impressed with Aaron's from what I saw last year. Godfrey I didn't even notice. I was surprised when we signed him and felt we must have overpaid. Very happy to be proved wrong. An absolute machine of a player and a bargain to boot. Incidentally, if we replace Holgate with Aaron's, we gain pace, width, attacking threat. We lose aerial dominance, physicality and a bit of solidity at the back. Hmmmm...

Yeh would not have him in the back as 1 of 2 central defenders, not by choice, he will end up there, in time... Just not with genuine top 4 chasing team in 2021, in an emergency, that's it.
