Felt for Ben Godfrey picking a hamstring injury in the Brentford game. Hoping he makes full and speedy recovery.

….dreadful news for an athlete who’s game is based so much on acceleration. As I know too well, once hamstrings start to pop they can hound you throughout your career.

So important he gets this one right before coming back but if it’s a proper tear then it’s very bad news.

Apparently hes put up a promising post on instagram saying something like "well done to the boys, i will be back better than ever".

Havent seen it myself...think Lampard said tests would be done tomorrow so hopefully its not too bad.

Everton defender Ben Godfrey is expected to be out until March after sustaining a hamstring tear during Saturday’s FA Cup victory over Brentford.

England international Godfrey was forced off in the 14th minute of the 4-1 fourth-round win against the Bees at Goodison Park and was replaced by Yerry Mina.

Following treatment, a scan on Monday morning revealed Godfrey has torn his hamstring, with the 24-year-old now undergoing a period of rehabilitation under the care of Everton’s medical staff at USM Finch Farm.

For me get it fixed, don't try to hurry back for this season. Take time, heal well and build up strength for 2022/2023.
