Atalanta were willing to pay £15mill until everyone remembered the tax breaks for foreign high earners had been scrapped, so their wages weren’t enough for him.

Can we get a better reserve CB for less than £15mill? Obviously purchase price would be spread over 3 or 4 years etc so it’s still a gain in FFP terms, but even so. Marginally less worried if he has to play compared to Keggers. Very marginally.

Surely we could have subsidised Godfreys wages and gone for Edwards?

Every one has a price if somebody puts in an offer for keane it will be him, but can see more hopefully looking at godfrey not because i rate keane but just think we can still get value for godfrey. Have the same problem with holgate would like sell all three but can see keane staying as dyche will be happy to have him as a squad player

I have a feeling that any decision like that is not down to dyche...it seems to me that dyche has close to zero influence on the recruitment side.

Not necessarily...it depends on how long left on the contract, wages, etc...ultimately it will be a financial decision.

If we get a 10m for both and we have to sell only one it will be Keane staying mate

Strong rumours today that he's on his way to Leeds on loan. We need to be getting teams to cough up actual money though, not 50p to loan our players for 5 months while we continue to pay 75% of their hugely inflated wages.

So makes sense for everyone to take six months. Harrison is more then good enough for where we are at and he balances the side.
