Did well yesterday. But 1/ it was against Burnley, and 2/ he was playing in a 3 man CD unit, and 3/ we know from experience happy poor he is.

Hopefully we can sell him next month (but only as long as the cash raised is used on another player coming in).

Agree with @davek

I popped into this thread because I felt it was only right to say that Godfrey shut me up with that performance yesterday. That clearance was magnificent. That said, as @davek rightly points out, it was against Burnley. One good display against weak opposition does not make up for 10 Royal Variety Performances and services to comedy that he has offered the world since 2021.

But I was pleased for him. He played his part, positively for once. He has no future at Everton, but fair play yesterday. That was worthy of applause.

A big bonus of performances like yesterday is he's put himself in the shop window. I'd punt him and Keane in a heartbeat, no questions asked if the opportunity arose. We simply have to stop paying huge wages to bang average players.

I'm made up both him and Keane played their part yesterday and I'm sure they will be needed again. But if any kind of offer is made for either of them in Jan and we can pick up a young, cheaper option then it'll be a no trainer.

Played well yesterday and that clearance was magnificent. Good to know we have squad players that can come in and do a job, when needed.

He was ok until he was playing in a team with zero effort, belief and confidence. Lets wait and see, it was good to see him back and not looking like a frightened Rabbit. You don't turn into a sh1t player overnight surely? Give him a chance to prove himself to the gaffer.

Hes never been anything other than rubbish.

Live said from season one: held a rugby league player.

Come now this is a touch unfair. The lad is an excellent athlete. He is not a technically gifted footballer sure, but with his speed, strength and athleticism paired with a defensive system that fits his skill set there is certainly a place for him in this league, just don't expect him to ever be John Stones on the ball.
