I dearly hope we have a new backup (and ideally younger prospect) CB lined up and deal ready to be executed if Godfrey does move on and spending frees up as a result. If not, Keane will end up getting a worrying amount of game time and likely rotate in and out to keep Tark/Jarrod fit and fresh.

On past experience, this eventuality could see Keane getting yet another contract extension as we are in a position of vulnerability. Hoping a deal is ready in Thelwell’s back pocket, critical.
