I think Godfrey will end up being the player that didn’t work out with us but will go and develop somewhere else sadly. He will really suit playing right side of a three, in fact he’d be excellent in that system with Tarkowski and Branthwaite in my opinion. Watched him play at Shrewsbury for a year and he was different class at a young age.

For the lads sake then I hope he has a decent career and enjoys going to serie A.. and from what i seen of Atalanta last season they are a hard working outfit with a bit of quality, so a good move for him.
Just can't see where he develops his game though, he looked as lost positionally end of this season as he did the day he walked through the door here, has lost a yard of pace and is very poor with the ball at his feet.

Great move for him, hopefully he’ll get coached properly over there. Made up for him as he’s never been any trouble here, even after ending up about 6th choice and out in the cold, he done a job last season when called upon.

Atalanta bid more accepted, probably around £12m. Decent money tbh and likely removes any threat of a PSR breach as long as it's wrapped up before end of weekend. That's one hell of a move and tbh upgrade for him, Europa League winners.

Getting back half what we paid isn't great,but considering we've lost about 100% of the transfer fee we paid for pretty much everyone else we signed in the same period I suppose we should be grateful!
