If we keep signing these absolutely boss players that none of us have heard of since last week.....yeah!Are you saying we get champs league football next season ?
Anthony Gordon- £40M and more to come if he moves. Mind you Newcastle have got more out of as a player.Interesting thread that. Who have we got the best out of since Moshiri has owned us.
Gana
20m plus up to 4/5m in add ons (arguably explains lack of playing time last season).Bought him for 27m € and sold at 12m€
not the best investment

Signed on 5 yr deal in 2020. Current book value of 4m. Sold for 11m (plus sell on).
5-7m direct profit before a potential sell on later.
Mostly solid player. Did a job. Gave his all. Never complained.
Many many more poor investments out there.
On par with holgate?Dunno. He was Uber gash for Norwich who leaked goals like a siv. He played an entire season for them and not one of us remembered a game he played for them when he signed.
His pace bailed him out and his best games actually came as a emergency left back if I can recall. And the less said about his heading the better.
On par with Holgate. But at least Holgate didn't cost £30mill and at one point actually looked half decent.
We didn't make 5m on Godfrey. On par with holgate?
Don't see many Italian teams (on the up) beating down our doors to capture a talent that "at one point" in a few games "looked half decent"....
Will we make 5m profit on holgate? Despite his formidable heading ability and lack of pace.
