Benitez brought us to the brink of disaster. Sad thing is that the overwhelming majority of Evertonians could see that inevitable happen as soon as he was approached. Still our board in all our wisdom decided to push ahead with it.

I never supported that decision or the manager for that matter. For the sake of Everton hoped to be proven wrong. Never wanted us to lose because of him. As I support the club, not the manager.

At the same time, I also would never have supported him as a person, no matter how he would have done here. Again, would've been made up for the club

He literally couldn’t let a grudge go from 7 years ago, he held on to it like a parasite and must have been grinning from ear to ear at the thought of being able to bomb James out

Vile fat pig
Do you think James wouldve made us better? He made room for Donny, somebody you can trust to turn up.
I blame him for not organising our defence better, conceding in the first minute against against Hull was the last straw for me.

Let's look objectively:

Benitez: 19 games with 19 points
Lampard: 3 games with 3 points.

Should keep us safe on that trajectory.

I agree his sacking was too late and necessary, but the blame lies with this spineless dressing room.

Like James Rodriguez would have been arsed about Everton in a relegation scrap when he was jetting off whilst we had an outside chance of europe.

Any port in a storm for some of our fans.

Mad that Rafael Benitez appointed himself manager of Everton, mad that he gave loads of money to absolute clowns to spunk up the wall, mad how he built our current squad, mad how he brought in Tosun, Sandro, Bolasie, Delph, Iwobi, Kean ect ect mad how he brought in Koeman............Benitez doesn't have a ''legacy'' at this club, that well and truly belongs to these two

Bill looks like Farhads just told him he can put whatever he wants in his pick and mix bag.

A lot of journos have said that James and Digne would have been sold regardless who the manager was, as they didn't have long left on their contracts and were on astronomical wages.

How's James getting on in Qatar? Oh yeah not great.

Digne had like 4 and a half years left or something. Back spouting absolute garbage again now that our players are starting to make comments about how abysmal benitez was.

Please evidence the "lots of journos" that you are pretending were saying what you claim.

says more about James this - waits till Benitez gets the sack and then tries to point score.

Most talented player i've seen in an Everton shirt sadly his talent is wasted on his indifference to play football with a level of application.

He is the last player I would depend on in a relegation battle - yeah he may have actually prevented us getting in one by scoring/creating goals in rafas awful run of games but not a player for the trenches.
