I'm correct, a point game he was getting, 19 from 19 games. Sacking him hasn't worked.
You seem to be conveniently overlooking the fact that 10 of those points came from the first 4 games! The reality thereafter is 9 points from the next 15 surely? Absolutely indefensible and he should have been booted much earlier then may be we wouldn’t be in the mess we are now!

I'm not conveniently forgetting, I could if I wanted then say OK yeah he got 10 in his first 4, what did Frank get in his first 4?
End of the day how ever you reason it were not doing well under Frank, not if you compre him to the managers who have gone into other clubs, Leeds, Burnley, Newcastle all changed and improved, only Everton didn't.
It's still on the players followed by Moshiri.

What can't you understand about this?

Benitez had players fresh from being coached by one of the best in the world. Slowly but surely he implemented his 'ethos' which proceeded in us being crap.

Lampard takes said players in the pits of despair, having had the creativity sold prior to his arrival, and all enthusiasm long disappeared thanks to said fatty, and tries to implement an 'ethos' of his own which doesn't involve being crap.

It took Benitez a few games to make us crap, I'd expect it'll take Lampard a few more games to make us good.

Hopefully he keeps us up, a transfer window or 2 of his own that doesn't involve Andros effing Townsend or El Ghazi, and maybe JUST MAYBE we'll get back to where we were before fatty arrived... Challenging for Europe.

We are where we are now because of the quite bizarre appointment of Benitez by Moshiri end of! The players signed by 5 or 6 different managers bear a huge responsibility as well I’d agree but that’s for another thread!
This is the Benitez legacy thread, and if and I still say if we go down that will be Benitez’s (and Moshiri’s) legacy!

The goons that sat down and appointed him have well and truly done us over.

His name should never have even been muttered, let alone giving him a chance in an interview.
Do blame owner for this one, can't see those who have been associated with Everton Football club for a time concluding he was suitable. Thus reckon it was the work he had done at Newcastle small budget being competitive got him the job, it was an accounts appointment.

Worth noting in the third match of the year, after scoring 3 goals in them three games, DCL picked up an injury. In the 4th, Richarlison picked up an injury.

To the board it was the safe conservative boring option. They probably knew that there was going to be a backlash, but here was a vastly experienced manager, who kept the Geordies in mid table whilst operating on a shoestring budget.

The plan of course was for Benitez to do the same here, and that people like myself would be won over, and eventually make our peace with this appointment.

Looking at things from a clinical/sadistic point of view, it's hilarious to see that this plan blew up in the boards faces, that it blew up in the self righteous pro Benitez muppet element of our supporters faces.

The muppets with their welcome Rafael from all "true Blues" banners, the plan up in their faces as well. Every Everton supporter, that adopted an aggressive pro Benitez stance were made look like proper mugs in the end.

I won't lie, a part of me feels a sense of schadenfreude here. Appointing Benitez in the first place, and not sacking him after the Watford game or the derby, were acts of absolute stupidity, that deserve to be rewarded with the ultimate punishment, but of course i obviously hope and don't want that to happen.
