They need to fit together but acting like the whole left side will fall apart if we sign someone who is better than Bernard is just insane. Digne is good because of Digne. Baines was good because of Baines. The wingers helped them just like any winger would have and not because those two were specifically so good that the fullbacks were propped up.

Didnt say it would fall apart. I said it was sound. Why bother mucking about when we need to fix moe important stuff? You are the one saying Bernard aint all that. Most are saying he is sound, and him and Digna, AS A UNIT have been brilliant.
 
Maybe one day we will get to look back on this decade and say "Remember when we thought we had top class wingers because they opened space for the fullback?" Pienaar was a class above Bernard but he also wasn't scaring teams and pushing us up the table. Let's shoot for wingers that do more than support other people in the future.

I think Sigurdsson has a tendency to go missing in some games and we don't have an alternative to him to slot in and change a game.

That's fair. I wouldn't be opposed to getting someone who can push Gueye and Gomes. And RB makes sense too. We aren't as complete a team as people would lead you to believe.

There isn't anything more important than scoring more goals. Striker needs to be addressed but we had about 10 assists combined from our wingers. Richarlison scores so we can live with him not creating but Bernard doesn't. So we should be looking to fix that too. We aren't moving up the league without scoring more goals.
