Well thats just an inane point. Every team needs to look to improve everything, every year. But thats pretty much impossible, so priorities need to be made. "Improving" Bernard is not a priority.

What are the priorities then? Obviously striker and CB if we don't get Zouma but what is next?

A centre mid, because after Gomes and Gueye, there ain't much left that's good enough. You know something mate if most of the forum are shouting you down over a certain player, has it ever crossed your mind, that you could be wrong ?

The better teams tend to have better individual players to. And to go a step further better attacking players specifically. They need to fit together but acting like the whole left side will fall apart if we sign someone who is better than Bernard is just insane. Digne is good because of Digne. Baines was good because of Baines. The wingers helped them just like any winger would have and not because those two were specifically so good that the fullbacks were propped up.

Central midfield and right back. Coleman struggled badly for large chunks of last season but it's seemed to have been glossed over and beyond Gueye, Gomes and Sigurdsson I think we seriously lack quality in the middle. I think Sigurdsson has a tendency to go missing in some games and we don't have an alternative to him to slot in and change a game.
