Like this guy, he’s going to be a top player from us, quality and vision.

What I love about him is he is a little fighter, tackles he has no right to make.

Another time today Gylfi bullied off the ball loose procession, Gueye bullied of the ball loose procession, Bernard going shoulder to shoulder with a giant, sticking with it, giant looses his balance and offs skips Bernard with the ball.

Go on kid.

Pity his bigger teammates don’t have the same battleing qualities.
Yeah, that fight to win the ball and keep it in play spoke volumes for me.

Absolutely Mahermi, full backs both played well...cant believe the adulation Digne (who was very good) is receiving whilst Kenny is being slated for having a good game...not sure what he did wrong today tbh...

Steve -- Not sure what you mean by the 'general consensus'...the reality is that Coleman has been dire this season and Kenny played at least as well as he has done.

Check out the Man Of The Match votes, for starters. I've already given Kenny a couple of good crosses, one of which was an assist, but his defensive play is not up to Premier League standard. He will probably have a career, but I doubt it will be at Everton. Arturnovic quickly realised that Kenny was there for the taking and drifted out to the West Ham left.Him and their actual left winger roasted Kenny all afternoon. Given also the fact that our centre halves were forever out of position, and there was no cover for Digne when he broke up field, the manager should be asking a lot of questions of the players.

I think the manager is hugely responsible if there’s no defensive shape to start with. We did alright defensively at every part of the pitch except our own penalty box.

I think we’ve witness this shortcoming on a regular so far to conclude it’s mainly down to the manager setup. I’m not comfortable to seeing him putting blame on his players.

Defensive shape is poor, that’s the basic really, without this foundation, defending is always a struggle no matter who play at centerback.

Personally , I hate zonal marking.
I think that defensively we will always be vulnerable to set pieces , in particular , if he persists with it.
Coleman, Mina , Zouma and Digne , give them time to gel , and we will be fine

like to see him when he’s fully fit and up to speeds got some player on our hands.

Tell you what we need a CM who can get these players the ball quicker and in more dangerous positions

wow all i can say is thank god we have signed this player

he clearly is capable of taking a player on and he is not afraid to do so

the only other players in the team who have similar traits are richarlison, lookman and walcott to some extent

the others are just crabs

hopefully with bernie and richie in the team we may actually create some opportunities to score from because they have got a pair of cojones
