Stick richarlison up top. Can't be worse than tosun has been.

Or drop sigurdsson and play him in the middle.

The original comment was basically “ Bernard plays well on LM , and then someone wants to move him to a different position”

Point I was making was that rich has played well there also, so to move him to a different position is the same thing is it not?

wow all i can say is thank god we have signed this player

he clearly is capable of taking a player on and he is not afraid to do so

the only other players in the team who have similar traits are richarlison, lookman and walcott to some extent

the others are just crabs

hopefully with bernie and richie in the team we may actually create some opportunities to score from because they have got a pair of cojones

Hopefully we can add Gomes to the list. Looks a strong powerful runner with the ball if he can get his confidence back.

Nope

Some just bizarro takes in here.

Bernard has not played as a central player, so not sure why several want to put him there. Someone also suggested he lacks pace, are you mad? He’s lightning.

Just give this kid a run and if we really want him and Ricarlison on the pitch together and don’t want to sit Walcott, play Theo up top.

And in the Bernard thread, Kenny was apparently bad defensively, yet West Ham have virtual no chances all night except for the goals that had nothing to do with Kenny.

Ricarlison and Bernard both play on the left so one will have to move if you want both on the pitch at the same time
Bernard will offer less defensively than Walcott if played on the right
Silva has said he is competing with Siggy
So it’s a hard one to call
With Tosun suffering a drought maybe Ricarlison up top , Bernard on the left and Gana / Schnederlin told to cover Digne when he goes forward as they should have done for West Ham’s first goal.
It’s either that or stick with Tosun and play Bernard instead of Siggy
He didn’t come to sit on the bench that’s for certain

An important element is bridging the midfield in transition for me i can see Rico and Bernard doing this, both can drop deep both can receive the ball deeper in midfield with their back to goal and make something happen, Walcott cant he is better when running at goal or over the top he cant drop deep or receive with his back to goal.

Its an area we are weak at but yet critical to our offensive game, we simply do not get the ball through midfield quick enough and when we eventually do teams are in their defensive shell, we have one of the poorest central midfields in the league for transition.

No competition for me, stick Siggy on the u23s bench.

Absolutely Mahermi, full backs both played well...cant believe the adulation Digne (who was very good) is receiving whilst Kenny is being slated for having a good game...not sure what he did wrong today tbh...

Steve -- Not sure what you mean by the 'general consensus'...the reality is that Coleman has been dire this season and Kenny played at least as well as he has done.

Totally mystified here...

He was being booted, held back and yet fought for everything despite being tiny...hes a pint sized warrior.

Precisely...

Digne and Bernard really want to win...Richarlison has the same character...warriors.
Saturated, bang on the button, Kenny had a very good game, IMO, I also don't understand the criticism Jonjo is getting,no WHU goals came from his side of the field, if the forwards had attacked some of his centres, we could have scored a couple more, Kenny is a young lad coming into an unsettled defence and doing well but fans (?) having a go at him, really don't understand the reasoning there.
