All the talent in the world, he needs to become more consistent and impact on more games then he does.

I thought he was given a different role at the weekend, maybe more free to influence the transition of play, thought it was excellent management if im honest.

Goals and assists are very low level stats when you are trying to predict what will happen in the future. A good example of that is a lad named Sandro Ramirez.

I may be wrong about Iwobi. I may be wrong about Lookman. I am not wrong about Bernard. Nowhere near good enough for what we want to be.
Don't be obsessed with goals. Del is sheer class which we saw briefly in partnership with Lukaku, and he is now showing at Watford only with more energy. . Bernard is also sheer class but is no regular goal scorer. Putting the ball in the onion bag is not the only requirement, someone has to provide the chances.
It could be argued that goals matter
But also setting them up.
We should get someone who does that
Lol @TheBigIguana. Goals and assists are important when assessing Bernard but are "low level" when evaluating Iwobi's contribution. Your agenda is beyond parody.

Having watched the odd highlight of his in the CL when he was in the Ukraine I thought he would be
great. And he can do good things but overall he is a disappointment: too slow on the outside, no goalscoring capability,
and too many games when he is peripheral.

He is not a Top 6 forward and would not get in their teams. A great attitude can only carry you so far. Big upgrade required
from Uncle Carlo.
He is a big upgrade on most of his team mates. Don't need pace when you have a football brain and ball control as good as Bernie's.
He and Richarlison are genuine top 6 players in my view.

How's this for agenda: Bernard has been better than Iwobi this season. I see a path for Iwobi to be better and I think Saturday was more or less the best we will ever get from Bernard, and thus I'd like to see us try to work with Iwobi when he's healthy, but Bernard has been better this year.

Ultimately neither is good enough. Iwobi has like 2 goals and 1 assist in 20 matches in all comps and Bernard has like 4 and 5 in 50. Iwobi and Bernard both look meh on advanced stats. The only redeeming thing about Iwobi is he's very good at passing it forward from midfield and into the box. Bernard did this well Saturday so hard to complain there. But to take a step forward we need wingers who can move the ball AND create chances and goals. Both these guys only do the first part well enough.

hahahahahaha I love the fact you stick to your guns, even if it's silly

Walcott isn't good enough to lace Bernards boots

I've never said he's the better player I just said he's been our most effective winger in games this season for me. If he had more of an end product he'd probably be our top scorer too.

I love Bernard but we're only comparing 2 goals/1 assist (Bernard) vs 0 goals/2 assists (Walcott)

Bernard is brilliant regardless of stats because of how he brings others into play and, whilst shooting is poop, Walcott has always been brilliant at making runs that have defenders crapping themselves.

Benard has been more effective come on, he's scored the winners against Watford and west ham was it ( I know siggy scored late on to seal it like )

Walcott does the same amount of opening space Bernard does in a different way. If he dives instead of playing on he is getting a lot more plaudits for Saturday.

Walcott was right to stay on his feet tbf, it's down to the shambolic officials he never got the pen

Again, 'effective' is a subjective word. Just because you prefer Bernard and his stepovers doesn't mean I'm wrong.

Only losers play honestly in football anymore. Dive, take the pen, win the game, move on.

"Walcott has been more effective"

then go on to say he has less goals and the same assists ( you did put 2 assists, but he has one league assist )

fair enough
