Last season many of our goals were created by him to be fair. Hell, he even managed to set up Kean for a goal! He wasn't quite as good in front of goal as around it but that aspect too was improving.

In a dire last season, with dire performances all round, he was one of the few players we had capable of actually making an impact and that must surely have been due to his skill and technical ability.

I'm sure one could make a compliation video of last seasons footage demonstrating his impact and contribution to many of the games, because I really don't think I imagined it! Almost starting to think I did its so crazy reading all these threads about how he's not good enough all of a sudden!

I think if you even go back and read the old match threads you will see many people there raving about him.

The manager knows best and has the full picture though. Maybe he doesn't fit into the system he wants to play or there are things going on we don't know about but I do beleive he was and is a great player with natural god given ability and talent.

Hopefully like DCL he will prove his doubters wrong!

I can certainly remember him having a hand in many goals. Would have to check the stats to say how many, but have you yourself never seen him creating goals or putting other players through on goal? At the very least would you not agree he is a playmaker who creates chances for his teammates?
 
He reminds me of Pienaar. The problem he has is he probably isn't physical enough to play central unless it's as an out an out number 10, his best position is left wing in 4-3-3 and he is competing with Richarlison.

He’ll deffo have a part to play this season. Just my opinion but don’t think he’ll play in games where James is playing. I think Carlo will want someone on the other flank who can put a shift in. Lovely player when he’s on form, his end product a bit inconsistent though.

So many comments on here from fans saying how good Bernard is. Is Carlo the don? Yes he is. How many comments are “I trust Carlo” etc.
He’s played him zero minutes in the league.....just think about that.
He’s terd.
 
There are two options.....
You say ok, I’m with Carlo and I think iwobi is better than Bernard.....
Or, you disagree with Carlo and you say Carlo, you’re wrong, you know nothing. We should have kept silva.
What do you pick?

Wouldn't say he is turd but would say he has lost form. Cracking little player when on form but not on form enough.
