Best city on earth

I don't want cockneys or wannabe jarg yuppies in a city though mate.

Or people who would accept Boris Johnson as their mayor for more than seven earth minutes.

I would very much like Liverpool to detach itself from London and the beauts that inhabit it.
I reckon London wouldn't really care if you did detach yourselves. Personally rather you didn't detach, as on holiday I'd have to explain I'm from that place next to that large sheer cliff where Liverpool used to be.

Its tough to choose just one, so some of me favs are,
Liverpool, Im born and bred, still yet to come across somewhere with such genuine warmth, humour and theres a nice vibe to the place, not to hectic of a place too, not to big not to small,
Singapore, had 2 days there on my way back from australia to break the journey up, wish i had a few more days there, boss place and incredible shopping,
Perth, love the lifestyle of western australia, some many cultures knocking about too,
Most german citys ive been to our awesome too, love that country,

Some of my dissapointments were,

London, mainly its the people, there all fur coat no knickers types, bloody expensive too,
New york, just a bit too hectic for me, people who wouldnt give you the time of day, felt uncomfortable there,
Miami, so bloody humid and crawling with people just up there own arses

On my list to try are

San francisco,
Chicago
Budapest,

Off there in a few weeks.. Any non-obvious recommendations? Sights, food..drink, anything really.

Do all the obvious - Notre Dame, Montmartre, Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysses, Place de la Concorde, Louvre (if artistically minded) and then try the Pigalle area in the evening for a bit of spice. If you're into history and have the time, try a trip out to Versaille.

Good point as noted, Liverpool has a stake to a claim as one of the best cities in Europe defo. I've took loads of people back to the city from different parts of the world and pretty much every single one of them fell in love with the place, and many want to live there still.

We're fortunate to be from there, for those who speak with the right accent. Pipe down Wirral, not you, although Wales is nice in it's own right.

Liverpool's good for a visit. Far too much of 'everyone knowing everyone else's business' to live there for me. And scousers do love their 'banter' as much as any cockney just with a different accent.

As for being better than London, Eastern European Cities and places like Barcelona, Milan etc etc LOL

Bratislava probably tops my list of cities visited. Not very big or loads there tbh but the buildings are boss, history, friendly people, fit women, dirt cheap beer and generally good weather. Only spend 2 & a half days there, so I can't say I saw loads, but what I did was very enjoyable.

Munich is amazing too - has everything you could ever want, just runs perfectly well and does boss beer.
Vienna is a beautiful city with loads to do.

If I weren't from there, I'd probably say Liverpool. It has a great feel about the place at the moment. Maybe coz I haven't lived there for ages, but whatever.

Im shocked there isnt a nomination for Sydney so I'm going to do it. Lived there about 2 years of my life, absolutely boss place. Everything you could want as long as you can afford it. I lived within an hour train of NYC for about 30 years, lived IN NYC for about a year, dont think it has anything on Sydney.
