There's an entire Nation outside of Liverpool, group of nations even. And outside of that, there's the rest of the world too.

Most people, whether British or foreign, remember Thatcher as being a strong leader who made Britain a leading figure internationally again.

I get she's hated by Liverpudlians, and generally by anti-toryists...but they're the minority.

Margaret Thatcher is the UK's greatest post-war Prime Minister, according to poll

Collection of all major polls of best PM of all time: Winston Churchill, David Lloyd George, Clement Attlee, and Margaret Thatcher generally appear toward the top of rankings

One single opinion article from a random journo doesn't mean it's been debunked.

The same journo who also wrote this:

Blair built on Thatcher’s legacy. That’s a simple fact

Do you agree with this too?

Examples of this and their domino effects on not just the region but closer to home too?

Seen as you place importance in the colour of a politician's skin, I'm sure you'll be pleased at the diversity of skin tone the Tories are offering in their leadership contest.

Informative post, cheers.
A lot of people outside of liverpool also hate her, it’s not just here.

Even a lot of tories didn’t like her.

She was a terrible prime minister which is why there were constant attempts to oust her from the start.

I remember being in primary school and some of my teachers literally crying with joy and celebrating when thatcher resigned.

Dreadful milk stealing wrongun that she was.

Great voting GOT...
No. 1... a war criminal responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths...
No. 2... calling a voter a "bigoted women" for dare having an opposing opinion....
Brown - called a woman a bigot when he thought he was off mic

Cameron- launched a strategic assault on the most poor and vulnerable on society before calling a referendum on the most important vote in a generation with no planning put in place in the event of the vote going the way he doesn’t intend.

Pretty close tbh

Love it when the right wing bloaters call Blair out for war crimes when in truth the idea of bombing an Arabic country gives them the first hard-on they’ve been able to muster up in 20 odd years.
Very true, they are hypocrites. But then it doesn't change the fact that he is.

Gordon Brown.

Unfairly took the rap for the worldwide banking collapse. And the woman he called a bigot - he was right, she was a bigot.

If he’d have remained in charge in 2010 we’d be in a lot less grief now.
Correct. Nothing wrong with calling a bigot a bigot IMO
She was quite clearly influenced by the language of the right wing press and the 'hoards of immigrants' narrative.
"You can’t say anything about the immigrants because you’re saying that you’re... but all these eastern Europeans what are coming in, where are they flocking from?"
Why would he not call her a Dreadful bigoted woman?
