Alright then mcbain, try this one on for size -
"Who is paying for this stadium should it go ahead?"
Rupert Murdoch? Kerry Packer? We should get the Government to chuck in.
Why not? What else are they good for?

Yeah, itd be huge to build a stadium there no doubt. Youd get a great view driving to the shops sat arvo though....
I gues its different here, if teams want to build things, consortiums are backed by local council or government. Its the Governments responibility, because ultimatley better stadiums mean bigger sporting events for their communities.
But a highly successful one. They have beaten back the onslaught of the BIGGEST retailer in the world, Wal-Mart in the guise of Asda. To take on and beat Wal-Mart is something special! I want to be in bed with Tesco, they are a successful business.
stadium of light is one of the better new stadiums. the whole bowl deal just looks poor.
it the club can pull off 4 steep stands right over the pitch i think we will be happy. a tweak with the existing plans is important to convince me it is worthy of 'new goodison'.
i think the club have said (to their credit) that it will not be called the tesco arena or like. but naming rights will be given so lets hope it's not tarmac or danka!
Here is my attempt, and KEIOC, if you bastards use it, I will sue you
Five minutes of work right there, slightly more than their 'professional' architects put in
Have you got an link to an official word of that?
All I know is that they will be selling naming rights and I thought that Tesco would be nailed on,
