One opportunity as in one game from the start instead of getting 5 minutes of garbage time. Dom has had over 20 and did not score. Beto had one game and did.

First half was as bad as I’ve seen from a striker for us since Rondon. Very important for him that he got a goal there and grew into the game some what.
Never looked confident with the pen.
McNeil is probably the cleanest striker of the ball in our team.

….its amazing how many professional footballers we have who struggle to strike a football. It’s a basic that footballers at that level strike a ball cleanly but look at Beto, Onana and Godfrey this afternoon. Awful.

He’s crap. But crap and making things happen is an improvement. DCL is half the player we thought he was. Let’s be honest.

We have to let the stats work that one out. First start in yonks and scores. Something had to give. DCL not scoring goals for 20 or so games was a massive red flag. Beto needs a few starts to see how he fairs then we can obtain a comparison of goals. This is what DCL might need.....pressure off him then come on as sub and just maybe resurrect his career
