I like Beto but he just isn't the standard we need if we want to kick on as a club

Whereas Dom and Broja ripped them apart when we last played Bournemouth.

Oh no wait, they didn’t have a kick of the ball did they.

They’re not good enough either, for different reasons. That doesn’t make this fella capable at this level mate. He’s just way off the pace of the game most of the time. Took his goals really well last weekend but they’re one of the worst sides in the league.

Really hope he succeeds, just can’t see it to be honest. When everything is in his favour, he’s a handful. Days like today when he needs to be an outlet, he struggles massively.

Bit embarrassing that those that have told us how amazing Dom is through months and months of goal droughts jump into the Beto thread when he starts 1 game without scoring. .

He has one more Prem goal than Dom .... tried hard today, no strength in holding the ball up, & I noticed they played a sweeper for the ball over the top to him .... never had a chance in that poor first half .....

He's our third, or possibly even fourth choice striker.

Thankfully the others should be back this month, though for how long who knows...

A bit unfair copying either of them under Dyche ball- we lack pace - Bournemouth had plenty of it - hence our struggle!

Agree on lack of pace but giving the ball and forward players who cant hold the ball up is much more worrying !

Both not good enough, not even close, add in trampoline shins behind him, is the reason we won’t lay a glove on good sides. Hopefully doucoure will be dropped for good soon and Moyes comes up With a striker solution against better teams

Worse than DCL but tries a lot more. If he starts on Wednesday it's going to be very similar to Ellis Simms getting thrown in a couple of years ago at Anfield.

Our team lacks youth & pace - their pace exposed our ageing CH today - also going forwards we had a one-man midfield in Garner - they had pace in abundance ....

Forget about pace and youth - we just lack good players. Throw Cahill, Arteta, Yakubu and Pienaar into our starting XI and we'd be so much better. That wouldn't be down to youth or pace - it'd be just the fact they're good footballers that can compete at the top level.

We had two great overlapping fullbacks in those teams .... with pace .....
