Outside, Bobby M's first season, no manager has got a tune out of our spineless team since DM. Soft tissue injuries and a broken spring in Bobby's L-shaped sofa, did for his stewardship and since then it's just been unhappy mediocrity. Big Dunc's been a part of all that...so I do not think he is any solution. The Moyesiah is probably the only man who can manage this club.

Sad but probably true..... We`ve all seen the evidence...

So, we play poorly against the team in the league cellar and you want to repeat Chelsea's mistake with Lampard.

Poor as they are, Sheffield can beat you if you don't show up. You could ask OGS and his band of merry men about what happens when you lay an egg against them at Old Trafford. OGS trotted out a strong lineup for that one, too.
You think that's the only game we were poorly

You think that's the only game we were poorly

Hardly.

City was a mess to start the season. United was Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde for much of it - which is how they ended up in Europa. It's an open question whether Chelsea's long patch of form under Tuchel is over.

Every club is up and down over 38 games.
Leicester are where they are because they've made shrewder purchases since Kante and Mahrez moved on than we did with the Lukaku money. Moyes is overachieving. Most seasons, somebody does that. Last season, it was Sheffield. Now they're in the cellar.

Our problem is not the manager. It's that we throw the same players out there with the same tactics game after game because we don't have anyone else worth playing. When someone's form goes in the bin or someone gets injured, there's no one to step up. So we hang on for dear life for 90 minutes and hope to steal a goal, because we're not winning open games like we did at the start of the season on present attacking form.

Since we can't seem to produce youth products, we're going to have to cure that in the transfer market. It's going to take a summer to improve and probably two to fix it. Let the manager and DoF do their work this summer, and if they screw it up then that's the time to pull out the torches and pitchforks.
