The start of shafting Villa last night. Edge them out the title race first without too much controversy and then slowly work on seeing if they can be nudged into 5th so United or Spurs can have that spot instead. FFP restricts their spending as their revenue doesn’t match their expenditure, Emery walks because they can’t compete, they have to sell Luiz to a big boy to balance books, Watkins and others want to leave as they know CL won’t happen, they go back to mid table. Job done for the PL in seeing off another insurgent into their elite. Meanwhile the most shambolic United team for years will find themselves in the top 4 again and a bang average Liverpool team are in an artificially staged title challenge with two teams who should be close to double figures ahead of them even now.
 
That Spurs game today showed why they won't join a Euro league.
All the 'success' and money they want is guaranteed by the Premier League. By fair means or foul.

Out of interest why give them 8 minutes of stoppage time in the 2nd half to grab a point back?

Them actually joining the first iteration of the ESL makes a stronger case that they would join a Euro League.
 

Had a great afternoon out for lunch at a local pub. Got home in time to catch the last 30 mins of the game v Villa. Not the best advert for association football but, I thought, a good enough point given the circumstances, weather conditions etc. Shouldn't be surprised really but it really is a huge shame that the first thing the Sky pundits (one of which was Roy Keane) chose to highlight after the final whistle was whether Tarkowski should have been sent off for two very good tackles.

I now genuinely fear for the future of football ....
 
Just watched Arsenal's goals from yesterday.

If Branthwaite had scored that first header, it would have gone to VAR, and been ruled out.

PRS do look good, cant recall ever playing one though.

Consolidation wont be easy, the Tokai was a 16th birthday present off my folks, the SG was a 50th present off Mrs S, the Strat is my current fave, the tele is set in open G. Doesnt leave much scope.
