But we didnt stagnate, we got into Europe several times, top 4 once, FA cup final, prior to that we we in a mess, and to be honest have been too since Moshiri came.
Only 5 teams have been ever present in the Premier League Liverpool, United, Arsenal Spurs, Chelsea and us that alone shows how hard and how well you have to run things.

Was that down to Bill Kenwright or David Moyes’ ability to get the best out of average players and have a knack of getting us good players for buttons for the majority of his managerial career here?

What did Bill Kenwright do to run this club so efficiently, what did he personally do to ensure Everton maintained its Premier League status and get us competing near the top foot of the table again?

My guess is the truth on Kenwright is somewhere between the two extremes but it annoys me that dumb people, who think they're clever, think they can dissasociate anything positive about the club from him while trying to blame anything bad on him and play it off as them being neutral.

I would say both as Moyes said himself they worked as a team, other owners might of sacked Moyes when he peaking because he couldn't take us to the next level, besides if Bill had been a bad owner Moyes would of got off much earlier.

Kenwright has the unfortunate tag of being our most unsuccessful owner and I would summarise on the most part he has played some right howlers.
However, Kenwright was true to his word that financially he was out of his depth and would do his best to find a way forward for the sake of the club.

Moyes and Kenwright were the perfect match. In Moyes, Kenwright knew he had a gold mine. He was performing miracles with what he had available to work with, he was able to get the best out of average players, created a great team ethic and was able to pick out a bargain in the transfer window on the whole. From David Moyes’ POV he knew as long as Kenwright was at the club he would have a job for life. Bill Kenwright wouldn’t have had the resources or bottle to get rid of Moyes, ever.

25 years of so called ‘stability’ reaching one cup final and a highest achievement of finishing 4th isn’t good enough for this great club.

Yeah 20 odd years later when clubs who where once seen as being inferior to us have now over taken us in terms of stature, fan base, commercial aspects, sponsorships, staidums etc... the likes of Tottenham, Chelsea and Man City.
