Imo their arguments are s**t though.

You want to disagree with me, go for it.

They hate Kenwright for not being a billionaire, not being rich enough to push us forward as a club.
He invested in the club as much as he could.

Hating someone for not being rich enough is retarded.

When someone can constructively argue that he doesn't care about the club, I'll listen to them, until that point I'll think they're a bigot who wants to believe what they want to believe.

It's retarded, hating a guy, who loves the club, but isn't rich enough, when you're not a billionaire yourself.

People don't want to admit that to themselves, that's their problem.

I don’t think anyone believes he hates the club, I’m not sure where you are getting that signal from? I don’t think anyone doubts his love for this club.

A lot of views are about how his lack of investment, or lack of search for investment over a period of almost 30 years has led to the clubs longest trophy-less and unsuccessful period in our entire history.

Fair point. It's debatable wether he had decent offers but rejected them, or wether he never had decent offers.

My point is, too many people jump to the conclusion he had loads of great offers and never accepted any.

It's like the lazy person at work, who tries hiding the fact they're s**t at their job, by making out everyone else is lazy.

Loads of people would genuinely believe they're great at their jobs, when in reality, they're pretty lazy and incompetent.

Believe what you want to believe, but in reallity Kenwright isn't Satan or the Messiah, but loads of bellends will make up their own story either way.

Yeah 20 odd years later when clubs who where once seen as being inferior to us have now over taken us in terms of stature, fan base, commercial aspects, sponsorships, staidums etc... the likes of Tottenham, Chelsea and Man City.
Our demise was well on it's way before Kenwright took ownership and everyone who ever cared about EFC knew it.
Kenwright was out of his depth, even back then, but lets not deny there were(and still are)many unscrupulous bells looking for a fast buck through buying a premier league club. Having Kenwright meant we swerved doing the Leeds etc.
All besides I couldn't give a flying hoop about the stature of City, Chelsea or any other club for that matter.
Spurs..Don't make me laugh mate..

What a ridiculously oversensitive soul you are.

I hope for the sake of your blood pressure that you've had a few drinks and aren't so highly strung on a day to day basis.

I ain't highly strung at all.

The fact that any Kenwright haters want to paint anyone who defends him as being unhinged is pathetic really.

You have no argument. You can't argue any good points.

Basically, any guys who hate him are middle finger up guys, with no argument based on logic.

You know the retarded bunch from school, who can't argue their point. Don't really bother me.

If you have a good argument, argue it.

If you don't. Shut up.

People like to think, because they're in the masses they're in the right.

In reality, they're just thick.

I got a warning tonight. Not because I'm wrong, just because you're not allowed to annoy the dumb as f***k people who think they are right, just because they shout loader than anyone else.

If you're getting so wound up about people not liking Bill Kenwright I'd suggest getting some help tbh pal.

You're coming across as pretty unhinged with some serious social problems...

I am not sure ,as no one can be that Bill didn't do his utmost to sell the club ( I do remember him being conned by two Man Utd fans into thinking he had a buyer) but he tried .Our drought of silverware has happened whilst he has been prominent but it has been obvious since John Moores died that we were not "the same " financially and then the Peter the red debacle and here we are .This in no way defending him or attacking him ,simply an observation of the last 40 years .
All that now is like arguing if we had a different formation last game it can not be changed.
In the last few months I turned on our manager for the first time since I first visited Goodison 69 years ago ,I never had done this despite all the sh1t ones we have had ,the reason was that I was afraid that this could be the final straw for Mr Moshiri and he would walk away .
So presently we have a top owner who is trying his best and a top manager who to me seems on board the project ,we have a DOF that looks to be a sound appointment .A team who I hope will have some unpolished gems and the prospect of more players coming in January .
We should see the plans for the planning application soon if they are to be submitted today and then a new ground in the next few years .
All this points to me to a brighter future ,they for/against Bill argument is simply unanswerable -the immovable object vs the irresistible force - we will all never see the others point .
One thing that he has to be given credit for is that he found Farhad Moshiri ,surely we can all see that and put this argument to bed at last .

Loving the hate guys, No constuctive argument, but middle fingers just proves your lact of intelllect
Speaking of intellect, it's 'lack'

Bill clearly loves the club, but it was also abundantly clear that he loved owning the club even more.

He practically asset stripped to keep his grubby little hands on his toy, safe in the knowledge that the happy clappers would back his decisions. He treated those who questioned him with utter contempt, and often repeated support of the minority.

Off the top of my head.

Raised cash by selling Bellfield to construct a new state of the art training complex, only to immediately sell that back to the council who since sold it on and we pay rent.

Rejected an offer of cash investment from Paul and Anita Greg to cover the pitiful 30 million we needed to front up for Kings Dock, as it would have meant they had more say. If he didn't trust them, just say so. Don't make up some Russian with 'an encyclopedic knowledge of football' who is going to invest instead. He then produces the mystery Russians front man at an AGM and claimed he was a diehard Evertonian. Questions from the floor led to him being asked who scored the 66 final goals. Revealed as a fraud, unlucky Bill. Oh, the Russian money never materialised, the 'Fortress Sports Fund' was his smoke and mirrors to explain away why he rejected the Greg offer.

The above episode actually led to him cancelling AGM's for many years, claiming it was because of bad behaviour. (our head of comms at the time, I forget his name was more forthcoming by describing us as "Drunken Knobhead Evertonians") (I now remember - Ian Ross and his pretty frocks) It wasn't bad behaviour, it was because Bill had been embarrassed and revealed as a fraud infront of who he assumed were his adoring family. The absolute arrogance of the man.

"Myself and David both agree that Wayne is now a 50m player." Why even say it? You know you were broke and you were going to sell.

The Kirkby debacle, the lies told to try and scaremonger fans to vote with an absolute disgrace. All orchestrated by Bill and his cronies. Kirkby would have KILLED Everton. Oh well, Bill would have been in charge so that's ok.

"watch this space"

I'm sure others can add more. You're welcome to counter.

Merry Christmas.

No, you ignoramus. You got the warning for the language you use.

Also the Walton Hall Park stadium none starter and the NTL money we spent before we signed the deal only for them to pull out and the investment to never materialise leaving us in an even bigger mess and constantly chasing our tails.

The “we could have done a Leeds” is always branded about whenever the talk of Kenwright’s lack of search for investment is discussed, like it’s set in stone it would have been a certainty to happen. What if he’d ended up with a Moshiri type figure 10/15 years ago and not had to borrow, borrow, borrow throwing us deeper and deeper in debt?

What if Moyes hadn’t been so great at getting the best of average players and didn’t have that special knack of finding us gems for buttons? What if he hadn’t performed miracles? It’s all ‘what if’s’

You may not give a crap about the ‘stature’ of those clubs, but the fact that they have all gone on to surpass us and improve massively In all aspects as a club (not just on the field) over the last 20 years or so certainly concerns me. We are not a minnow club, we are one of the pioneers of English football, one of the most successful clubs in this land and we deserve the very best and it’s been saddening as a fan of this club seeing us fall behind so much.

At least now, we finally have an investor on board (thanks to Kenwright) who has come in, invested a lot of money and outlined a vision for Everton to be successful again. It hasn't gone to plan so far on the field but things are looking very good off it and it’s certainly created a new buzz and given us all fresh hope of a successful future. With a new stadium on the horizon and the appointment of Ancelotti you can’t help but feel this is the turning point for this great club to get us back where we belong.

Kenwright’s tenure when looked back upon in 10 years time, 25 years without winning a single trophy the longest in our entire history and regression as a club. That’s all I see.

He most certainly did get lucky with Moyes.

Doubly lucky when it was widely reported at the time that Bill really wanted Gary Megson.
