Because along with Dr David Marsh he has took this great club into the same bracket as West Ham and at least Marsh and Johnson went. He has made more than he ever dreamed but hangs around like Sammy Valentino out of Benidorm thinking we all love him.

while factual, what does it have to do with the board today? or his influence over it?

You do realise Johson only went because Bill bought him out? If it wasnt for Bill he would of stuck around.

People need a scapegoat and Kenwright is a convenient target to hang our demise upon.
Unfortunately it’s also demonstrably wrong if you know our history.
From the moment John Moores died and his family were unable to continue to underwrite our continued existence at the top we were destined to struggle.
Our expenditure was outstripping our income long beforeKenwright arrived.
Johnson only realised how poor our finances were after he took control and said as much.
Kendall’s success was achieved on a relative shoestring and couldn’t be maintained.
Blame for our plight should rest with the Moores family , who could perhaps have found a new owner as soon as they realised that they were unable to continue. But even they probably misjudged the situation at the time, and hung on too long.
By the time Kenwright came along the whole edifice was teetering on the edge of disaster and he was tasked with patching it together to enable our survival.
Considering we are still here I don’t think he’s done too bad a job personally.

Good post this, in the same period that similar size clubs like West Ham, Newcastle and Villa couldn't stay in the Premier League, we've done ok just to be a ever present.
Bill did ok, it's only natural to want to do better, unfortunately Moshiri is doing worse.

Sums us up that statement....."We've done ok just to be an ever present" Now Moshiri has continued that ethos. Our days as a "big club' are well and truly over with that attitude, FFS

I was just about to say...after reading that post I now am thinking Moshiri is the guy playing fiddle as the Titanic sinks

Agreed, It's true, when Moshiri came we all got excited, incorrectly thinking Bill was the problem, thinking with money we could press on. But no, Marco Silva eventually got appointed, we haven't been a big club for a long time, just a historic club.
