I like him me. He's blue. I have absolutely no idea whether he's held this club back for 20 odd years or not. But some of his haters seem to know the ins and outs of how the Everton boardroom is run. I think these ones are full of the yellow stuff, they haven't got a clue. Half of you don't even know what day it is but turn into not only football experts, but boardroom experts once you log on here.

My point is, I don't know enough about him or how he's ran this club to judge him fairly, do you?

Why is it we are so far behind the only other ever-present Premier League teams? Kenwright had nearly two decades as the head honcho and hasn’t got us near them in commercial deals and flopped at every stadium move he ever planned.

We have commercial deals that are more comparable with teams that have been in the Championship over the past ten years than our fellow ever-presents.

That alone proves how wrong he has been for the club. The man is a disgrace of a chairman and is no Evertonian.

The day he leaves will be a great day for the club.

No Evertonian would allow this club to be in the state it has been during his ‘leadership’ he’s still here like he’s doing us a favour, too.

We were doomed that season until Campbell and Gemmill (who's role is overlooked during that run) came in.

I don't understand why you are trying to downplay the role of a club legend. Do you not like him or something? His signing absolutely transformed us that season, we were sleepwalking into trouble. He scored 9 in 8 games, won player of the month and was our top goalscorer that season even though he only played about a quarter of the games due to being a late window signing.

And do me a favour and don't call me an idiot. You wouldn't call me one to my face so don't do it here. I have the decency to not call you names so show a bit of decorum eh?

So do I, up to a point. Its the blind faith allegiance of the happy clappers that does my crust in.
Plenty of actionable if not true stuff out in the public domain...those who know etc.
No doubt he's not as bad as he's painted...nobody is.
But its a good job he's a chairman in football not Industry, would've been gone years ago.

Add to that, it's also the common binary mentality that so many of our fan base have over this and many other issues: he's either brilliant or he's awful.

Where's the middle ground? Yes, Bill made mistakes along the way and it's fair to question these, yet I do feel his intentions were mainly good and honesty.

He also did many good things for the club, which those who bemoan him conveniently forget. I think only in time will we find a real, honest judgement of him.

Will that be positive or negative? Who knows. Personally, I am going for good intentions, but perhaps with sentiment, naivety and own 'opinions' getting in the way.

Had BK been a foreigner, or a red like Peter Johnson, given his track record he'd have been chased out years ago just like Johnson himself was.

He's cynically promoted his Blue credentials over the last 20 years to gain support and plenty have fallen for it. So many fans confuse his support for the club with him being the right man to front/run it.

The day his influence finally ends will be the day we can start the long road back to being a big club again.
