Bit it's not Kenwright watch, and hasn't been for 6 years, when we go down it will be on Moshiri.
Then what is Kenwright still doing here? If he's as totally blameless as you and others claim then why hasn't he stood down as chairman in protest against the mismanagement of Moshiri? If he loved the club as much as he claims then surely he'd want no part in such an awful board. At best he's just totally impotent and powerless but chose to keep his mouth shut as Moshiri destroyed the club all because he liked having the title of chairman (even if it carried no real authority) so he prioritised said title and his obscenely swollen ego over the general wellbeing of the club. It doesn't matter if he's got real power and authority or not at this point. He's still been complicit in this regime.

His fanboys/acolytes will never learn........

Why should he step down? Do we really want Moshiri to have a free reign to totally kill us? Because he will, the last 6 years of poor ownership has shown us that but because we have a new ground being built people are taken in by it, even though that wont benefit Everton, not the way he runs the club.
When Kenwright owned the club we were never in the mess we are now, as much as people want to re write history that is a fact

There is no actual reason for anybody to have any support or sympthay for kenwright. We won nothing under him, we were extremely poorly run, top 6 finishes with captains from around the world in the team. Yet no marketing took place, in fact we sold the rights to our marketing to kit bag.

We got to a final and then proceeded in the few years after that to have no money whatsoever to spend. We had 2 failed stadium bids , made transfer money vanish when selling our best player etc.

This is argubally the worst chairman/owner we have had in our history prior to him selling. There is nothing positive that has come from the club since he has been here, up to today included.

There is zero reason for bill to be there anymore, let alone be involved in things to do with the club. He clearly has had influence over what has happened since moshiri arrived, even if it's a word in his ear level.

Why any fan would back him is beyond me. There isn't a single reason to back him.

Its not so much people are backing him, they are correctly pointing out he isnt responsible for the current mess, Moshiri is, Bill sold a club to him that he had in a stable place, who often had European football....etc who stood by managers, and Moshiri went onto destroy it.

When Kenwright had total control of our club he set the tone that has been dragging us down ever since. The awful losers mentality where we just accept never winning derbies, where we just accept never truly competing for trophies, where we just accept never beating "big sides" and have a worse record of doing so then most championship sides do in cup competitions, where we just accept mediocrity and even celebrate it with stuff like the "magnificent 7th" DVD. Our club was ruined years ago. We've just been drifting along and existing ever since. You and the other Kenwright supporters just don't want to admit it.

Even if you don't blame Kenwright for setting the tone of mediocrity that's embedded into the club and feel that Moshiri did this all in his own and ruined the club then you have to also admit that Kenwright just stood there and let him and never once publically called out the man that was destroying the club he claims to love. His silence is tantamount to complicity as far as I'm concerned.

The man he bought to the club, really i wish he hadnt, its a shame he didn't hang on, Moshiri turned up when the TV money did, a total con artist with zero interest in Everton playing with Usmanovs money, no wonder Stan Kroenke wouuldnt let him have a say at Arsenal

He is 100% to blame as the Chairman. If he is not, then his role is a paper role. Bill Kenwright would not be Chairman without responsibility, therefore he must be 100% to blame. When he arrived as a director, 'his' club had more league titles than Manchester United, now Everton have less than half. How he even shows his face I will never know.

But you’re forgetting the last 2 seasons of his rein, conveniently.

It’s like me banging the Peter Johnson drum. Let’s not forget we won our last trophy under him and arguably bought our last true world class player in Kanchelskis. That team under Royle with kanchelskis, Ferguson, Barmby, speed, Parkinson, Grant, Stuart. Was better imo than any of Moyes teams.

I will forget that he then started to sell all the payers and sacked Royle and appointed a negative poor manager in Walter smith.
