Part of the Kirkby propaganda was to put Coventry’s crap new stadium on a pedestal, and then argue that Everton ought to be emulating Coventry’s move into a crap new stadium.

Our marketing under Kenwright was incredibly weird. The club was talked down all the time, with us being portrayed as a desperate quaint entity living in a crumbling shed of a death trap stadium that is ecstatic with 10th place finishes. It was a marketing ploy by Kenwright to keep expectations low imo, and it worked very well, for him.
If it wasn't for Moyes, then Kenwright would have been hounded out of the club years ago imo.

Went from a big club underpermimg to a club punching above its weight

Before Moshiri took over we had beaten Palace once at home since 1995. Since he took over, we haven't lost at home to them.
Yeah but they havent always been top flight, regardless yesterday was the type of day at Goodison we need to see more, they have been few and far between

How good was yesterday? It was like we were back in the pre Moshiri days when games like that were the norm and everyone at the match had a good time.

Said this to my mate yesterday for all the buzzing you would see that sort of result multiple times a season in years gone by.

The whole clubs standards need to improve not just Moshiri/Kenwright - everyone from the top down has to start improving and raising demands/expectations.

True mate, even under Walter Smith we had a few 4 0 wins, and the boxing day 5 0 over Sunderland was fantastic, these days a game like yesterday is a collectors item.

I agree that we need to see that more often, however, to try and use it as a stick to beat Moshiri with in an apologise to Kenwright thread, is very weird.
But its not, its a reflection on how bad Moshiri has been that yesterday has turned into such a massive moment, there will be very young fans there yesterday who have never seen anything like that
