Weird isn’t it he’s done all this and he’s the only blue that walks away with more millions money than he started with while the rest of us skint ourselves watching mostly dire footy , relegation battles interspersed with the odd half decent season , celebrating staying up and drinking warm beer .

For that alone he probably deserves a photo on the side of the side of the stadium whilst the rest of us deserve a slap for not driving him out years ago .

My hypothesis is that our expectations were so low at the time, we'd accepted being an absolutely crap Premier League side, and had been trained to understand we would sit in Liverpool's shadow forever more (still true 30 years on) that new money flowing into the game was bad and wasn't for the likes of us, and so Kenwright was allowed to continue sitting at the top table and putting nothing at all into the club.
