The chairman role is to ensure the overall direction of the business is ethical and aimed at maximising shareholder value.

No I'm sure he is aware to an extent, but put it this way, let's say he resigned five years ago, Moshiri would only replace him with a full on enabler, he is responsible for how he runs his club, and who works for it.
I said several times last year how it wouldn't suprise me one day to see a panorama type programme investing Usmanov and Farhad sport washing, one day it will come, like the one last year about Chelsea owner, they need to be proper investigated, much deeper then this stuff today.

The chairman created this mess mate bill is the one who negotiates the deals, fees and wages, nothing happens without his knowledge or approval apart from maybe appointing tapas tits.

Farhad may be accountable as owner.
But BK et Al would be responsible.

And what if it goes that deep it picks up big billy b/s and Pip Green, FSF and every other greasy trick that he 'enabled'.

Yeah of course he is, don't be daft, but the issue is if it wasn't him on the board Farhad would only of replaced him with one of his people, so we would be much deeper in a hole then we already are.
