Hard as you may be lah, the pen was perfectly fine and never threatening. Dont invent drivel please.
I'm obviously not as 'hard as you lah' I went in the pen in the early 60's' and it was not fine, unless you were with a crowd of mates.im not in the habit of inventing drivel and, if it's your opinion that it was fine, I can only imagine that either you went with a gang of mates, or you didn't go there at all in the 60's. Thanks for your opinion though.

Hoping for the top ten is what we have become since the seventies really. I know we had some success since then but we have NEVER established ourselves in the top tier since the PL began. Philip Carter was useless and everyone succeeding him has been. We are a museum.
I'd have to give Sir Philip Carter his dues for our success in the 80's. He didn't handle things too well when Howard went off to Spain though.

Our slide to oblivion started under his watch imo. He was also so called chairman for a few years just after Kenwright bought the club, but i think it was pretty obvious that he had no real power or influence at that stage.

One thing I do know, my only true ITK position is that Johnson invested but serious business problems forced him to cash in his chips. He gets a bad press because life got in the way of his real ambition for the club.
He won us a trophy, we never lost a derby game while he was chairman, he (along with Big Joe obviously) signed our greatest player of the premier league era in Andrei Kanchelskis as well.

Peter Johnson did more for this club in his five year tenure as chairman, than anything Kenwright did in twenty five years.

Time may finally be over for him at the club. I wouldn’t be surprised if he somehow managed to snivel his way out of the rumoured board room shake up though.
Even if we get relegated he will think that he is the only one who can save us, it's his club. Only HE understands.

What interests me is that Martin Samuel (a long time crony) has written a scathing article directed at DBB who was supposed to be thick as thieves with Kenwright. Throwing another of his mates under the bus?

The feller is a cockroach who could weather a nuclear war and still emerge as Chairman Bill of Everton FC.

sorry to go all damo and melodramatic

Just a reminder that 3 weeks ago he had the audacity to tell us Palace and Leicester were “good times” during his 20 year reign

The level of disconnection from reality was off the scale 👇
