It is mid June. So as long as everything is in place, board, new chairman, a couple of key signings, new financial backing from MSP all by end of June. I would describe that as decent progress. Rome wasn't (rebuilt) in a day or so.
If only, I have an awful feeling and I hope I'm wrong, that we will be heading into the last week of the window, awaiting our first signing.
Fitting that his time as chairman would come to an end with him hanging around like a bad smell for longer than necessary.

to be fair to him, if he loves the club, it must be really hard to let go, but that is not fair to Everton if he's not doing the best job. Working tirelessly, putting all your love and energy into the club doesnt mean that you'll do a good job. IF we are a club riddled with sentimental old fashioned ways, we could have - about a year or two ago, made him a life president or some honorary position, if they really dont want to get rid of him.
Otherwise, we have to really just admit that we need better leadership. it doesnt have to be toxic and hate-filled - it's business and it's fair. if so many managers have paid the price for on-pitch results, the board and chair have to also suffer consequences.

It was actually Granchesters mother (Sir John Moores daughter) who warned him off getting involved with Kenwright.
She knows a chairman when she sees one, clearly a jobbing actor didn't cut the mustard.

True though. My brother aint in that league, but his daughter married into the Winnie the Pooh family last year. Out of about 180 guests, there were 4 Roydo guests.

More likely the end of July, and even then you’re probably getting your hopes up too much. I’d love to see us get everything settled quickly but after the last few years it would be totally out of character.
