Ask them if they could take Kenwright insteadThey're detached from reality.

If I get to 77 I want to be sat in an armchair with a whisky and slippers. Why put yourself through this Bill.
That’s the problem…..he’s been doing that for the last 25 years in the boardroomIf I get to 77 I want to be sat in an armchair with a whisky and slippers. Why put yourself through this Bill.

Or he's thinking about how to redeem himself now his legacy is one of ruin and stalling for time.Because his whole persona is based on being the character of “ Chairman Bill “, that he‘s created for himself.
He’s like the fella that every work place used to have - joined at sixteen and worked his whole life for the company.
Now it’s time for retirement, he’s no idea what to do with himself and is terrified, at the thought of having to reinvent himself outside the safety blanket of work.
To be fair, it's a miracle nobody hasn't done regrettable. Emotions have been running high for a long time. Hopefully he'll be gone soon. Any bovver would be great PR for that toad.Maybe he's waiting for fans to do something stupid so that he can blame it on the toxic, disgusting actions of the fan base ..?
to be fair to him, if he loves the club, it must be really hard to let go, but that is not fair to Everton if he's not doing the best job. Working tirelessly, putting all your love and energy into the club doesnt mean that you'll do a good job. IF we are a club riddled with sentimental old fashioned ways, we could have - about a year or two ago, made him a life president or some honorary position, if they really dont want to get rid of him.
Otherwise, we have to really just admit that we need better leadership. it doesnt have to be toxic and hate-filled - it's business and it's fair. if so many managers have paid the price for on-pitch results, the board and chair have to also suffer consequences.
