You can't hear the many stories of charitable donations and small, unseen gestures and feel anything but admiration and respect for him. Clearly a very decent and generous man, whatever else he might have been.

There's no need to re-write history and what's happened has happened, football wise, but as we all know - there's much more to life than football.

RIP Bill and thoughts with family and friends.

I don't think it's hypocritical to give condolences to someone when they pass unless it's like Henry Kissinger. As a person he was thought to be a pretty good one. Professionally isn't who a person is. 20 years from now when his family is telling stories of their grandfather they're not going to be laughing about the time he brought in Van der Berk, they'll be talking about some anecdote from their lives with him.

Personally, I'm not mourning his loss!

Think there are a lot of people who are to concerned about public image by throwing the usual ' Whatever you think of him RIP' posts.

You are aloud to still have a negative opinion on someone, whether they have passed or not, should that change that?
Of course you can but would it not be a nice gesture/idea to just park it for a week or so? The debate will always be there to be had far into the future.

Fair comment. I think he should be mourned for sure. Any blue should be mourned. He's someone with a name outside of football too I think probably the phrase 'larger than life' might be used a lot.

I think however people are forgetting the fan base has been largely against Kenwright and the rest of them. There's been marches. Protests. Banners. Etc. Many a decent person. Just not happy with the way the club is run. The last year has been horrible. Some people are being targeted, people who went on the marches, people who held banners, people who chanted, etc etc etc. I heard a phone call on Talkshte the guy was telling us what a man Kenwright was whilst having a go
at fans for exactly that (marches, protests, banners). Yes we need to be respectful but let's not try and rewrite history and whitewash everything to do with Everton.

This page is effectively now a condolence book.

I wonder if they have thought about a tribute to him at the Burnley game?
Either a minutes applause or a minutes silence.
I personally would respect a silence but could not join in with a minutes applause
I imagine they will go with a minute’s applause as the silence would likely be abused by a small number of individuals less respectful than yourself

I can't really agree with that- there are plenty of despicable people about who also happen to be Evertonians.

For all of his shortcomings as our Chairman, I think Bill was a good man at heart and did a lot of good things in his life which deserve respect.

It is a shame that any kind of tribute by the club will have to be carefully considered because some fans cannot be relied upon to show that respect.

Not sure if this has already been posted. I'll leave this here without further comment...

'...From The Bradley Lowery Foundation:

I am absolutely devastated to hear of the passing of Bill Kenwright, aka, Uncle Bill.

Bill was a huge part of Bradley’s fundraising journey. He donated £200,000.00 to Brad’s campaign to access treatment abroad.
That money then went into my baby’s amazing charity, on Uncle Bill say so.

He was an amazing gentleman, who went above and beyond to help me and my family after Bradley went with the angels, Bill made sure we had time to grieve away from media, and whisked my whole family away so we could spend time together without intrusion.

I had many long chats with Bill, always asking his advice, he was one in a million.

I will never forget what he did for us ❤️

My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this very sad time.

Bradley will be waiting with his arms open ready to give you a big cuddle, like he did the first time he met you. Fly high Bill 😢...'
