Who are they though, they the same people who said goodison was about to fail its safety certificates around the same time we were looking at kirkby. Bit of scaremongering

There may have been some gilding the lily over Kirby but it doesn't mean they were incorrect about the suitability to redevelop Goodison.

There's been other studies done by equally esteemed experts saying it's not feasible though.

I imagine the truth is somewhere in between ie. Yes it's possible but because of the practicalities, cost and disruption it's not worth it.

Are these the boards experts or experts that have actually successfully redeveloped 2 PL grounds in the past. The cost is cheaper and I am sure that would suit our board down to the ground in a practical sense or do the board think we are going to get a free ground so they can reap any future benefits from it. This is an expert that has been there and worn the T shirt so he must be worth listening to. If the board don't want to listen to him then something is not quite right within the walls of Goodison.

Who's planning on paying for this?

Looks great and I'd love to see it, but where's the funding planned from?

Anyone can knock up a design. Need to have the board onside for it to occur. Without a plan for cash it's just as pie in the sky as anything the board are accused of.

I'm not taking sides, just saying. I'm actually pro-redeveloping GP, I'd like it.

Just wouldnt read too much into it, our board were pretty desperate to get kirkby over the line.

Now if the BU wants to add some proper weight to there suggestion they should get a proper quantity surveyor to give a rough costing to each of the 3 options in the redeveloping plans

Of course they were employed by the board, this other guys being put forward by the BU.

You say the cost is cheaper, are you taking that from the detailed plan @sageyefc posted on the other page? Or the drawings posted last night? If a builder handed you them and said he could do the job for X amount you'd laugh him out of your house.

Apart from the fact we don't know how much a new stadium will cost or what it would be like, you can't say it's cheaper when you've got nothing to compare it to.

Of course redeveloping Goodison Park is possible.

Whether it makes short term economic sense is the question.

'Short term' being key under our current regime and setup.
Pretty much, they keep going for the short term options, if they thought long term we mightve gotten somewhere by now

Agreed. My assessment is in the short to medium term we will start to see a negative impact on our ability to compete without a stadium capacity expansion.

Teams below us are going to have 15000 more tickets sold every game than we will.
