Boss photos you've taken

Just a couple of flies mating on a leaf. Very windy - so I had to hold the leaf in one hand whilst control the camera with the other! Not as easy as it sounds...

Paul.

Nothing too fancy from this weekend. Just a few shots from walking out and about in Rome.

Tried something a bit different from what I normally do on this next one. Sun was in an awful position, just off the back of St. Peter's, so I wanted to use it to wash all the colors and appear to be black and white. I then put a black and white filter over it so not to be too harsh on anything or lose the details. I don't think it worked too well and the sunspot ended up making everything else very difficult to see, but I tried something new. Only thing having the sunspot accomplished was good detail at the base of the photo in the foreground.

And my favorite from yesterday is from St. Peter's basilica in the Vatican City. It is just a "simple" photo of one section of the ceiling.

Hope you enjoy! Any tips or techniques always appreciated :)

Got some shots from yesterday. Been trying new things out to branch out a bit. And of course, some of the tried and true in there as well.

And as always, my favorite from the day bringing up the rear.

Made it into the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel for the first time today. Really awesome place, and will have some photos to share from there as well!! Just gotta get around to going through the ones and uploading them. Even managed to sneak a few shots of the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel (shhhhhhhhh).

Hope you enjoy!! Will post the ones from today ASAP as well.

Two from me.

This is where I live in Poole, it's a harbour town and this shot is taken looking in to Poole. The large hexagonal building on the right side is where I actually work, unfortunately I work in teh basement underground with zero view

So..you work for Barclays.

I was in that building a couple of weeks back with my Young Enterprise group.

The view out the other way over the bay at sunset is fantastic from the roof.

Not directly, I am a supplier / contractor supporting them rather than working directly for them. The view from the roof is amazing as well

Alright, as I said before, I went to the Vatican museum for the first time on Monday, and was very very impressed by everything. Absolutely breathtaking. Here are a few photos from there. I encourage everyone to get there if at all possible, it was completely worth it.

I tried the sunwash thing again. Where shooting directly into the sun to lose a lot of colors. I tried not to be so harsh with the sunspot and think I managed to do a much better job of it this time around. It has a slight black and white filter to finish the job. This really brings out textures and details in the foreground, but this time around the background looks much better and more realistic I hope.

As per usual, my favorite shot of the day.

Hope you enjoy :)

With daylight savings now I'm looking forward to going out and getting some time to take photos after work with the sun being out longer. Hopefully will get some good light and sunsets in the coming weeks!

"Thought it was a greenfly apple" she thought...

...or maybe she didn't.

Little 7-spot ladybird on one of the berries wintered on the laurel shrub this afternoon.

This spider was prone on the washing line - watching what I don't know, maybe just looking out for food.

Unsure of the species - be it a wolf spider or some other, but it was very small and very flat - so much so flat that I only spotted it as I was on my way back in the house when I stopped to chat to the wife about something and rested my hands on the line and pulled it downwards - with a support-like stance - and it was six inches away from my fingers!

Paul.

Lads, booked myself a last minute weekend trip to Cinque Terre in the Italian Rivière for this weekend.

Needless to say I'm excited to take some photos and hike between the 5 villages. Bringing my camera, my backpack and my water bottle. Maybe some food.
