Boss photos you've taken

A bit of a rarity today from me as I did a tiny bit of landscaping. Took the wife Gillian & daughter Rachel for a chippy tea at Arnside and squeezed in half an hour with the camera.

Wellies definitely required as I walked across a tidal inlet, clambered onto slippery rocks still wet, and passing dozens of rock pools to reach this dangerous stand point, to get a view of the village of Grange Over Sands.

On the shore at Arnside itself, there are some old finishing nets just lying around. Looks like they have been there for years, though on the half-dozen visits I have probably made to this village, it's the first time I have seen them.

Recently My Dad, Brother and I have started a snooker night at a local club, normally on a Thursday night, anyway's they asked if I would take my camera along and see if I could get any worth while shots.

Here are a few from me that I really like, one is HDR one is Black and White and one just a normal shot. Conditions are not ideal, luckily the club was quiet but lighting isn't great and all shots are hand held.

A local attraction nearby to me is a small steam railway. Here is one of the trains approaching the level crossing.

Back home afterwards...

One of the two jumping spiders, that were on the wall outside of the house this afternoon:

My resident female.

My resident female SPIDER, that is... She lives in the outhouse and has done for maybe 3 or 4 years now. And she is getting very large, and very feisty! When I try to move her with my fingers, she is as likely to stand her ground than move away like most spiders do...

And my favorite from the weekend.

I love cats, and I love taking pictures of cats. The ones that roam the streets in Europe are my favorite, and this little guy was more than happy to have the attention. He let me pick him up and then followed me around the gardens for about 45 minutes until I left the garden.

Alright weekend bar the weather, got some nice shots so not too bothered.

Hope you enjoy!

The 1st, 4th and 5th - I took the exact same photos last year ;)

The lady frog - owner of the recent frogspawn no doubt, was looking out of the water in the pond tonight. You can of course see the flash I had to use to illuminate her, but here is a short sequence of 3 shots, showing there is "Something in my eye..."

Look closely at the triptych and you'll see nothing in the top section, but in the 2nd and 3rd, you should see a very small globular springtail...

Exif: f/8, 1/250sec, ISO 640 & 100...
