Boss photos you've taken

There are no bugs showing still in the garden. terrible it is.

All there was this evening, was a lousy woody... :(

Is this your website mate?

sadly not a great photo: sharpness isn't quite there (i was using an old Sigma which doesn't stop down on modern Canon DSLR's), and composition might've been better. still an interesting moment: the flying male is looking to break up the mating act so he can get a look-in. shortly after this photo was taken the mating pair flew off in that locked position.

Just bought a new IPS Panel (monitor) today so hopefully my editing will look better on both yours and my own computer!

First shots tonight, using the ringflash with my 2 layers of diffusion @ ISO250, 1/100sec, f/11, with the Venus 60mm lens on the slug decimating one of our few strawberries, then added a 1.4x teleconverter and a 12mm extension tube to get the hover.

@-wizard- The lens was about 3 inches away at the very most, more likely nearer two inches than three m8.

Im not one to hunt out great photography.. but after seeing the clarity of your pics, im astounded by the quality and think they are awesome.

Never realised how intricate the make up of these creatures are!

And taken at 50mm away.. that obviously takes some skill.

Windy morning (as usual) but I spotted a shield bug on the garden path, so I retrieved it and put on a nearby dianthus flower. The powerful red petals make for a stark contrast against the green of this small green shield bug (Palomena prasina). These are 8 different photo's not edits of each other.

Half an hour has passed since editing these, and it is still sat there despite the elements!
