Wasps munching on apples are a common sight as autumn approaches, however, I would still advocate caution if you try to get close enough to take a macro shot of them...

Look at the last photo - they have amazing tongues/mouth parts!

Been sidelined with work and stuff, and poor weather meaning few insects, so nothing much from me of late.

Grabbed these in the last couple of days - nothing special mind you...

A caterpillar making an attempt at camouflage and failing, lol...

A wasp, this afternoon that had been feeding on a fallen apple, and was so drunk it couldn't fly away and just bombed down onto the ground..

And another wasp that I spotted trapped beneath the drivers door on the sill of my car the other afternoon - no idea how it got there, nor for how long it was under the doors edge...

Here is a very patient angleshade moth - I'm sure I could have taken lots more photos but at my age, the old back aches after a few minutes when at certain heights! This one just stayed still on a bit of a fir, and that allowed me to get the Venus in with tubes on the last one too.

Not sure if I ever bothered posting any of these in here

If I can't play sports, I need a hobby so this needs to be it

Really like this. Where is it? Did you use a long exposure to get that effect on the water (I'm a bit newb when it comes to more than point and click!)? It looks almost like its iced over!

Cheers dude, its Bewdley where I used to live

And yep, played around with the ISO and exposure time etc. I've genuinely forgot how to do it all again after not really using my camera in about a year

The link to the photo settings is below dude
