Boss photos you've taken

I did this still life of items from the past - they were all found at my late mother-in-laws house and date back to various ages from the past:

Brass vintage soap dish (maybe) age unknown
A Darnley's rotatable Lightning Calculator circa 1921
A vintage Zenith Sveglietta clock circa 1950
Vintage miniature brass candleholders circa 1960
2x miniature brass candesticks circa unknown but maybe Victorian
Ladies English Opera Binoculars with original leather case circa 1930


Probably not worth a huge amount but I'm no expert.

I reckon so, but if they are the candle holders then I can't see the candlesticks lol

Took this a couple of days ago at a small pond next to a busy shopping centre, a sit second after I'd taken it Henry struck and got himself a stickleback breakfast.
I think the fact he was obviously concentrating so much enabled me to get so close, about 10 feet.
Just a phone camera snap.

This is a blue mason bee Osmia caerulescens - I'm pretty pleased to have 2 of them going in and out of the hole in the wall (a male and female I assume).

There's also a shot of my favourite wasp, an annual visitor to my garden walls, the ruby-tailed wasp.

Three and out! Sometimes you just cannot keep up with a downy jumping spider!

The last 3 are of a parasitic wasp is getting perilously close to the hole where my mason bees are nesting... I hope the search has ended at this hole!

I've been in Bristol, Tennessee for the last two weeks. I took these three close-ups on Saturday with the macro camera on my Motorola G8 Power Mobile. The bottom right is a cicada exoskeleton, shed when it became adult. When I searched for images of the firefly using the Android Lens app all I got were photos of the Hindenberg disaster!

A burnet moth about to feed on the thistle, then proboscis away!

I often find the dark bluey/black of these moths are a tad more difficult to get the detail in, but these are not to bad.
