Boss photos you've taken

Last one from Nantucket Harbour 5:15 am, 45 mins before dawn, only taken on a blackberry though....

Btw great photos from all contributors....

would love to go there,
then maybe hop on one of those boats and search for the devilish leviathan white whale that took my leg...

Not sure where the spider is, but maybe this capsid bug and ladybird were not taking a risk - they were kinda queued up waiting their turns...

A female garden Orb Spider (or Cross spider) spinner herself a new web between the apple tree and the dwarf conifer in the garden this evening. I have tried to video it too (not particularly successfully though, probably because I was using my macro lens which is slower to focus the the STM lenses).

I like how you can see where she has completed her web and the strand she is working on at the time I took the image.

Great photo that one Torontoblue

Quick question photogods

If your SD card randomly says its buggered, do you think you can retrieve the photos off it if I took it a shop? One of the cards I used died when I was in America :(

Apologies for taking time to reply, just been on a road trip with very limited internet connectivity. As long as you haven't tried to write any more data to the card, you should be able to recover photos, or whatever else is on there. DON'T take it to a shop, there's loads of software out there that will read the card for you. I've used Recuva with very good results; my SD card failed on my phone and I managed to rescue all photos and data from the card.

They drive dead fast there don't they ?

I wish the Yanks drove fast, it'd make getting around easier!!

Big snail, well, reasonable sized one, slimeing toward me on a house brick in the garden. Really a choice of getting plenty of the head in focus or keep it more creative. Me being me, I usually opt for the more distinctive option. Softbox on the flashgun, live view. Touch shutter mode.

Aye.

One eye or two?

I found the first angleshade moth of the year on a leaf of a dying-back gladioli tonight, and when I had finished trying a few normal sized shots I put the tubes on and saw this little thing right under the nose of the angleshade moth! Cheeky bug...
