Boxing

If Joshua takes the rematch, he loses again.

If he plays the long game, like he tried tonight, he gets outpointed, as he did tonight.

If he goes looking for the KO early doors, I think the smarter, cuter, skillfull Usyk picks him off on the counter. Always a chance as he’s got a big dig (when he’s not too frightened to throw it) but it’d be a single shot ‘Wilder’ esque IMO.

First thing I’d be doing as AJ is binning Rob McCracken… Overseen x2 dreadful losses now in the space of a few fights.

Totally agree. Usyks style is a nightmare for Joshua. To be honest, I thought Usyk would of stopped him between 8-10 rounds.

One of Joshuas biggest problems Joshua has got, is his feet and way he uses his legs against smaller fighters. He can’t plant his feet, or use his legs to explode against smaller fighters due to poor foot movement, he dips to low and gets himself tangled up.

AJ just doesn't have the ring craft to be a great heavyweight

Roy Jones Jr nailed it really. There were points in the rounds where he clawed himself back into it, mixed it up, asserted himself more. Since he won the belts he's never really done that. At times he's been clever, but there's times to use the advantages.

I do think through all the cool persona that mentally and confidence wise, he's lacking. Even Bellew said it

Fury undoubtedly top dog in the division… Until the week after next!

In all seriousness, Fury will finish Wilder good and proper. I imagine he’ll then face Usyk and I’d fully expect him to implement a sound game plan using his height, weight and reach advantages with the fight ending in a stopage at around the 9th… Everything Joshua should have done but couldn’t!

Been watching usyk for years. My favourite boxer by a long way. He's so skilled in whatever he does. Boxing, tennis, basketball etc. He's just a natural sportsman.

I worried aj would be too big for him but no, usyk came good and would have ko'd if that last round was another ten seconds

He looked like a plodder tonight, no doubt.

The big one for me though was how gun-shy he looked when in range. He was absolutely petrified to let a backhand go against a man who’s 2 stone lighter and not known for exceptional power.

I can only put that down to him having zero faith in his own punch resistance

Use the advantages he has to push him back and punch him. Wear him down.
AJ did nothing.
