All jokes aside tonight, it’s actually a sad day for boxing this. Decisions like this does more damage to the sport than it does good. It happens time and time again because these governing bodies know that further down the line, that fighter is more marketable and makes them more money long term. What it also does, it drives casual fans away who only tune in for big fights. It’s a shame because from a fans perspective, it’s been a good year for boxing. A lot of fights have been made that was “dream” fights in some ways

It has though, been some great fights, match ups and big fights but sadly a lot go under the radar. Obviously some fights haven’t happened but been some massive fights happened that nobody is interested in due to lack of promotion for them.
