Boxing

Made at the wrong weight, ok, referee on crack, ok, we go again.

Eubank jnr has & quote me stepped up a bit fast a bit soon for next saturday. I'm not sure he's got all that just yet. Saunders aint no push over, I'm not tipping either and this contest interests me more than the klitschko charity mandatory eliminator Furry Chis bout.

Interesting nights boxing (tonight) a few questions and career paths expanded. And all th boxers have gotten Christmas sanctioned. Triple turkey dinners all round.

You honestly think that was a good performance from Bellew? He said himself he was sluggish

There was nothing he could do - to hit someone you have to have an opponent who isn't running away and 100% defensive. The punches that hurt are the ones you don't see, and Cleverly didn't come forward on the attack to allow Bellew the counter left hook.

Which would be fine, if he had something - anything - offensive to go with it.

It was a good performance in that he kept looking for the right things and got the job done.

I agree with Cleverly not making it a fight and it would have made it difficult for him. I just felt he looked unfit and should have picked his punches better rather than throwing bombs quite a bit looking for the knockout

The scoring system is a joke, though.

A 10-9 for Cleverly early on ranks the same as one of Bellew's later rounds.

Winning a round by landing a couple more jabs and having better movement isn't the same as winning a round by pinning someone to the ropes and pounding them for 3 minutes.

I would agree - he looks fantastic. But he's only fought fat nobodies so far.
Yeah I know, needs to step it up after the Johnson fight. Reckon he could end up against whoever loses next weekend out of Chisora and Fury, because whoever loses will be fighting a Latvian electrician around the time of the Joshua/Johnson fight.
