Boxing

I was very surprised to see that Wilder has been instilled as odds on favourite for his bout with Bermane Stiverne, I think alot of people are overhyping Wilder and underestimating Stiverne. To beat Arreola twice is no easy task including one by KO which Stiverne did. Wilder has not fought anyone near the level Stiverne has the closest he has came is fighting Malik Scott and that fight was suspect to say the least.

Think Wilder will win and it will be an amazing fight but a Wilder win is not set in stone by no means, Wilder will have to turn up with his A game.

Matthysse v provodnikov is in the works for March or April . That's a FOTY candidate if there ever was one

Looking forward to rios Alvarado 3 next week as well another certain war

Hope Joshua's back injury is not too serious he's had to pull out the Kevin Johnson fight on jan 31st. Glad I never bought a ticket now

He's ducked him!! On a serious note Joshua says his back isnt too bad it was just procautionary and that he aims to come back fitter and stonger. (Which I don't doubt for one minute)

Out of Anthony Crollas misfortune comes an opportunity for Derry Matthews, don't know enough about Abril to know what his chances are but a chance nonetheless, I'm sure Crolla is hoping he can to set up a 3rd meeting between the two.

Frampton's title defence to be shown on ITV, good exposure for the lad
Great news that. Hopefully itv losing the football may force them to invest a bit more into boxing

Channel 5 showing Murray v golovkin the week before as well .

Suits me as I'm working them nights and can watch them on the TV here.

Only realised this morning that Eubank Jr is due to fight Chudinov on February 28th. Chudinov is unbeaten in 14 holds 2 belts and this fight is for an interim belt. He can no longer be slated for fighting so called bums/journeymen/taxi drivers and all the other criticism he gets for fighting what is put infront of him.

Personally think the lads great and wish him well, hope he does get hold of a belt and then can get a rematch with Billy Joe Saunders made.

hopefully he has learned what a jab is by the time of this fight

Don't think he'll fully ever learn the jab, he think he knows better and doesn't need to copy how all other boxers fight and have fought for the last hundred years. He's trying to copy his dad a bit too much also but I do think the guys great and he will go far.

plenty of ability, and all the physical traits you could dream of as a boxer, but he needs to get away from his dads old coach, his old fella had a hard time being told anything, and was good enough to get away with that, but if he didn't listen to ronnie davies then his son won't be, just learn a few basics and he will go far, the tools are there, there was so much wrong with what he was doing against saunders, and despite sauders being decent he still pushed him close

Think he will beat Saunders in a rematch, I think they will fight again in the next 18 months and feel Eubank will of improved alot more than Saunders will of.

terrible footwork and has a tendency to back off in straight lines. i cant see him getting near world unless he improves a lot. saunders was like a light middle fighting a super middle.
